Pulse News | January in review
The graph below says it all.
The purple bar shows how many people were added in the three years during the pandemic at some of the largest tech companies in the world. The orange represents the number of recent redundancies.
This clearly shows that instead of a tech annihilation (as some media outlets want us to believe), we are simply in a correction phase after excessive hiring during a period of extraordinarily rapid growth.
The same can be said for many other smaller tech companies. If you zoom out and take a bird’s eye view, software is still “eating the world”, as Marc Andreessen famously wrote. We are simply in a period of rebalance.
2023 has started with a bang for Pulse Recruitment as we settle into our new CBD office and continue to work with some of the best tech sales talent on the market. We helped 14 candidates secure new roles in January, including Head of Sales, Account Execs (especially in Cyber Security), Sales Operations, and a Marketing Lead.
