Next up on our “Pulse Gets Personal” series is our candidate manager Stephanie Watson. Stephanie is new to recruitment coming from a background in hospitality and is loving the challenge. So lets here all about Step!
Tell us your story of how you got into recruitment: I was working in hospitality and felt that my passions and inspirations were going to waste, I began researching the key aspects of roles I enjoyed, (customer service, sales, searching and using my brain to find things, challenging), and came across recruitment. I decided after research and talking to friends in the industry that this is what my career is meant to.
Years in industry? 1 month.
What inspires you to go to work every day? The satisfaction of helping people shape their path in their professional lives, as well as speaking to such a mix of personalities every day, I love finding out about people’s personalities and discovering who people are.
Career achievements? So far none in recruitment, however, I have had the achievement of being 24 years old and a lead manager in my catering company to organise and run the entire operation in Macquarie Bank, managing minimum of 30 events per week as well as day to day functions of two café’s and a food bar as well as managing up to 40 staff in a single day. That was great experience.
